Four–sided embroidered ivory silk taffeta reticule (purse), each side hexagonal in shape. Two sides with flowering baskets on grassy mounds; one side with farmhouses, a tower, an arch, and a tree; and one side with houses surrounding a church and a tree, both vignettes enclosed within a circular sequined medallion. The top and bottom of each side with two delicate horizontal foliate trails. Worked primarily in satin and long–and–short stiches in shades of pale pink and blue, ivory, greens, and brown; ivory silk cord edging along the four sides extending into handles; one attached tassel, two detached tassels inside reticule (one missing).
