Professionally embroidered and false quilted silk and linen coverlet, made in England in imitation of tussar silk embroidered coverlets imported from India. Wavy-edged central medallion surrounded by flowerheads, winged starburst shapes, lotus heads, and rocks; quarter medallions in each corner; narrow border in brick pattern with scrolling leaves and flowerheads; natural-colored linen ground with stylized flowerheads; primarily executed in satin stitch and French knots.
