Suzani hanging with silk embroidery on a plain-weave linen ground. Extremely densely embroidered, with a central field with eight-lobed medallion, four flowering plants, and multiple types of flowerheads enclosed by border of red flowers. Outer field, floral lattice enclosing plants sprouting bilaterally symmetrical flower heads. Outer border of quartered flowerheads with two thinner guard borders of scrolling flowers.
Very good condition. Modern conservation backing.
