Panel of gold and silk metallic brocade (kinran). Egplant/aubergine purple satin ground with a brocaded pattern in gilded paper strips depicting swirling lotus and peony blossoms.
Very good condition overall: minor wear to gold strip in areas and along edges of silk. Mounted on modern golden yellow satin over wooden stretcher. Two identical panels available (the second mounted by not stretched).
