Linen valance with drawnwork, produced in Novgorod province, Belozersk district. The upper part with symmetrical design with stylized landscape with large and small trees, floral sprays and sprigs, castles, hunters with muskets and horns, dogs, birds, long-tailed animals, and, at each, male figures in theatrical-style dress with feathered headdresses, mantles, and tonnelet skirts. Plain wide linen band edged with deep scalloped border. Very good condition: three small discolorations.
