Chainstitch prayer arch or hanging, embroidered in red, pink, yellow, orange, peach, lavender, browns, green, and white silks on a pale blue-green wool ground; the composition mimicking a niche or mihrab design with a central urn of flowers surrounded by a niche with Solomonic columns; framed with a border of repeating florals. Finished and lined in silk.
Very good condition, especially for age; extremely minor discoloration and stains to wool ground.
