Evening dress, made of a very fine Spitalfields or Macclesfield figured silk. Lemon-yellow and white floral-patterned silk trimmed with coordinated leaf-patterned and shaped ribbon and blonde lace. The fitted, boned bodice with wide, off-the-shoulder neckline with lace bertha and long, pointed waist edged with two bands of piping; [partial] diagonal lace trim on bodice front; short, straight sleeves with deep lace cuffs; full, cartridge-pleated skirt with band of ribbon at side fronts, curving out at lower hem and simulating 18th-century open robe; Jacquard-woven silk with self-figured ground (weft floats) and meandering floral and foliate pattern (warp floats); skirt lined in sheer tarlatan; interior pockets at left and right side front seams.
Very good to excellent condition.
