Designed by the sculptor Giò Pomodoro (1930–2002) and produced by the Manifattura Jsa. "I Cirri" (Cirrus Clouds) was awarded first prize ex-aequo at the XI Triennale di Milano in 1957 and was chosen for the cover of Domus in October 1957.

 

Lengths in various colorways are in Die Neue Sammlung, Munich (643/89); MFA Boston (2003.310); RISD Museum (2002.105.1); Royal Ontario Museum (2005.11.5); and St. Louis Art Museum. The original gouache design is in the Collezione Branchini-Grampa (archives of the Manifattura Jsa).
