Brocaded silk satin document with palmette-shaped flowers and other stylized florals, buds, and leaves on sinuous branches in silver frisé thread on golden-brown satin ground. The design is certainly inspired by Safavid silks. A similar brocaded silk, noted as Russian, 19th century, is in The Met (33.39.56).
