Woven rayon furnishing sample probably designed by Renee Schils (1901–1976) under the direction of Paul Follot for the Atelier d'Art du Bon Marché. With a dense pattern of large stylized overlapping leaves in shades of raspberry , wine, and teal blue; wide border at lower edge with stylized apple trees and "Pomone / Atelier d'Art du Bon Marché." With two paper labels on reverse: "Visconti [?] P[atr]on 14994A Col 6" and "[?] 14/ Proprieté France Algerie Egypte"
Fading along the right half of the design.

Schils was a painter who exhibited throughout France; see for instance Le Soir, March 15, 931, p. 4; and L'Express du Midi, March 17, 1933, p. 6.
A very similar Pomone fabric sample, dated 1925, by Renee Schils is at the Metropolitan Museum of Art (68.145.5, sold by Cora Ginsburg, Inc.).
