Art Nouveau furnishing silk designed by Paul Follot. Abstract repeating design with offset rows of elongated ovals enclosing geometric diamond motif with attenuated points at top and bottom, alternating with cluster of four scrolls; satin, ribbed and twill weaves.
Some holes at edges from previous use. Good condition overall.

This remnant comes from the hotel Follot, 5 rue Schoelcher, Paris, where it was originalled used ca. 1914 as a wallcovering in Follot's music room.Literature
