"Chalutier" couture ensemble by Christian Dior, from his Verticale collection of Spring/Summer 1950. Comprising a day dress and matching jacket of white slubbed silk printed with calligraphic black dots in columns. The dress with wide turn-down collar and low slit neck; short sleeves with turn-back cuffs; and calf-length skirt with two box pleats at front and back. With matching hip-length jacket, with elbow-length sleeves and welt pockets at hips; no closure.
