Green-ground "bizarre" silk, with figured ground and large, exotic foliage shadowing a brocaded pattern with vases with salmon, yellow, white and silver metallic flowers of a naturalistic design. Likely produced in Venice, where silk weavers, rivaled only by Lyonnais canuts, excelled at complex bizarre designs in the first decades of the 18th century.
Excellent, nearly immaculate condition.
