Brocatelle (silk/linen compound weave) furnishing fabric in the style of Mathevon et Bouvard or Lemire. Linen warp and silk weft; with a Rococo Revival composition of flowers and rocailles in midnight blue and pale golden yellow silk.
Very good condition.
An identical length of this brocatelle with the same provenance is the Met (48.55.4, sold in 1948 by Dalva Brothers, Inc.).
