Panel from a woman's hta-mein (skirt), called acheiq luntaya, or "one hundred shuttles," for the fine silk tapestry weave requiring many shuttles. Woven in shades of deep mauve, magenta and cream. Horizontal band pattern with repeating geometric and stylized designs, including wave and zig-zag motifsand striped silk hem.
Very good condition. Conservation mounted on linen over a wooden stretcher.
