Embroidered bed valance, probably produced in a professional workshop in or around London. With a pattern inspired by Indian embroidery, with florals and flowering vines and a narrow floral arabesque border, in pink and green silks and silver-strip-wrapped thread worked in satin stitch with couched silver-gilt threads. The linen also with a false-quilted diamond ground in pale yellow silk.
Very good condition. Some darkening to the ground and tarnishing to the silver.
